Mr. James Greene is a senior consultant for The Chisholm Group.  Prior to joining The Chisholm Group, Mr. Greene worked as a news correspondent for two highly respected weekly trade publications covering the food and agricultural related industries and their Congressional oversight.  Mr. Greene spent 20 years in federal service in senior public affairs positions, including writer/editor, press officer and director of media relations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS).

Prior to his federal experience, Mr. Greene was an editor, reporter and news anchor for three network television news operations in medium and major markets.  Additionally, Mr. Greene has worked for a number of Veterans Service Organizations.

Mr. Greene has received numerous public affairs honors during his government and private sector service including several “Blue Pencil” awards from the National Association of Government Communicators for press releases and the “Leadership” Award for his work spearheading the Congressional endorsement campaign for the National Vietnam Veterans Coalition.

Mr. Greene is a decorated U.S. Marine Corps and Vietnam veteran, where as a tank commander in South Vietnam he was awarded the Purple Heart for action against the enemy.

Mr. Greene received his B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland at College Park and did graduate work in mass communication at The American University.
