Alexander “Alex” Gibson has spent over 30 years working in international trade. Starting on the piers of NY/NJ as a mechanic’s helper he built upon his familiarity with ships and cargo handling to progress into the Sales and Management of several leading shipping lines. He is credited with establishing and expanding the Southeastern office for the world’s 3rd largest shipping line overseeing the sales offices in seven Southern states.
Alex has negotiated global bids with major international accounts; developed import/export programs to leverage account expansion and negotiated price adjustments to outsell the competition. He has evaluated site options; established administrative infrastructure; created policies, procedures, and controls; set budgets and analyzed competition to launch successful, aggressive marketing campaigns to fuel sales growth.
Alex’s ability to identify niche markets and meet client needs prepared him to open his international marketing and procurement company – ABCG Enterprises, LLC. This was followed several years later with the founding of AAB Global Logistics to specifically handle the shipping for clients of a diverse range of commodities and products for both import and export.
Alex speaks as an international transportation expert. He has instructed international trade personnel from Banking, Freight Forwarding, and Global Distribution industries on export procedures.
Mr. Gibson is a native of Philadelphia and Massachusetts but has lived in Atlanta for over 30 years. He holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
